It seems like every couple of days I am reminded again of why I fell in love with this wonderful cavalier king charles spaniel breed. For example, this past weekend I had a "girls weekend" at my beach home at Ocean Isle Beach, NC. I couldn't take all of my cavaliers with me, but my cavalier Satin injured her leg in a horse accident so I decided to bring her along. My friends were so suprised at her love and devotion for me. She stayed by my side the entire weekend. She followed me with her eyes if she someone else was holding her. Satin was friendly toward others, but she knew who her mama was. When Satin is with, she is completely happy. I realized that the saying is true that a dog is the only animal that will love you more than it loves itself. The neat thing is that all of my cavalier king charles spaniels are like that. My tricolor bitch is in heaven when she is snuggled up beside me. This breed is like no other I have ever had or been around. Because of their nature, they really are like chocolates, it is so hard to have just one! They really have enriched my life and I am so grateful everyday. (Picture of Satin resting beside Sammy my 85 lb old Boxer)

Heather, I enjoyed your site, and reading about the love you have for the breed. I felt the same way about my precious Beau. Such a loving dog. We miss him so much.....
