Had a great time at the Palmetto Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club Specialty Show and the AKC Charleston Kennel Club Dog Show in Charleston, SC last weekend. Premiered a new boy named Bentwood Forestcreek Rob Red. It was his first time in the dog show ring and although we were learning each other he was a good cavalier! We did trot away with a Reserve Winners Dog Ribbon out of a very competitive challenge! Special thanks to respected breeder Judge David Kirkland. Huge thanks to breeders/ co-owners Ginger Harrison and Kevin Cline for trusting me with this beautiful new boy. Congrats to Paula Lynn Ayers, Michelle M Jones, Jim Shreffler and Linda Whitmire, for their wins.

"Riley"  "Diana"   The Cavalier Spaniel breed is bred to be a lap dog. My Cavalier King Charles Spaniels certainly live up to that reputation and are excellent snuggle bugs. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels do sleep away a good bit of the day - a fact one shouldn’t be either surprised or concerned about.  Home sweet home here in Sunset Beach, NC. Sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy love....10/1/2015  New young hopeful here at Livelyoak cavaliers.  Great time at the Chesapeake Bay CKCS Club Fun Match! Today was my six year old son Josiah's first time showing...He got a lot of practice thanks to friends and willing pups :) It was a lot of fun and thanks to the club for hosting the event. Bentwood Distinction "Lincoln" was also Best Puppy in Fun Match. That was nice too! :)  Some people wonder if cavaliers are a good fit with children? It is always important to monitor children and cavaliers, but I think they make excellent pets for children. Cavalier king Charles Spaniels are sweet tempered, playful, and very yet gentle.  |
