BIS MBISS GCHB Bentwood Forestcreek Rob Red NEW CKCSC-USA CHAMPION!So pleased to announce that today "Robbie" BIS MBISS GCHB Bentwood Forestcreek Rob Red won Reserve Winners Dog under esteemed cavalier king charles spaniel breeder judge Bryan Claydon at the Club show in Oakland, CA making him a new CKCSC-USA Champion!!!! Huge thanks to breeders/coowners Ginger Harrison and Dr. Kevin Cline. There is no one else I could imagine partnering with. You both are the best. Congrats to all of the winners as well!! Thanks to my husband Michael Borton for supporting me and taking care of the house, dogs and family while I pursue these adventures 😊
The 9th annual Central Carolina CKCSC Specialty Dog Show was held September 11, 2015. It was a huge success thanks to everyone who came out to support it, the show chairs, president and board, and excellent judges who traveled near and far to judge. I was delighted to meet Judge Pauline Sidgwick and even got to spend some time with her and her husband Ian. Saturday Lincoln was awarded a RWD and I am especially pleased that on Sunday Lincoln was awarded best puppy under highly respected Judge Eubanks!
Great time at the Chesapeake Bay CKCS Club Fun Match! Today was my six year old son Josiah's first time showing...He got a lot of practice thanks to friends and willing pups :) It was a lot of fun and thanks to the club for hosting the event. Bentwood Distinction "Lincoln" was also Best Puppy in Fun Match. That was nice too! :)
This weekend my 5 1/2 year old son took his "turn" and got to spend the weekend with mommy at the Fredericksburg all breed AKC cluster dog show. We had a great time and Riley went Reserve Winners Dog on Saturday to the Major and on Sunday won the CKCS Open class and took Winners Dog. Part of the fun for me is also getting to enjoy this as a family affair. Here is a picture I took on Saturday evening. The "boys" were wiped out after a long day! Cavaliers make the best family pets.
