The Cavalier Spaniel breed is bred to be a lap dog. My Cavalier King Charles Spaniels certainly live up to that reputation and are excellent snuggle bugs. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels do sleep away a good bit of the day - a fact one shouldn’t be either surprised or concerned about.

Still, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's are not lazy ! They do have plenty of energy and are bright, alert and playful. They love going for a walk, meeting other dogs and new people, or as seen here in the pics, going to the beach!
