Had a great time at the Palmetto Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club Specialty Show and the AKC Charleston Kennel Club Dog Show in Charleston, SC last weekend. Premiered a new boy named Bentwood Forestcreek Rob Red. It was his first time in the dog show ring and although we were learning each other he was a good cavalier! We did trot away with a Reserve Winners Dog Ribbon out of a very competitive challenge! Special thanks to respected breeder Judge David Kirkland. Huge thanks to breeders/ co-owners Ginger Harrison and Kevin Cline for trusting me with this beautiful new boy. Congrats to Paula Lynn Ayers, Michelle M Jones, Jim Shreffler and Linda Whitmire, for their wins.

"Riley"  "Diana"   The Cavalier Spaniel breed is bred to be a lap dog. My Cavalier King Charles Spaniels certainly live up to that reputation and are excellent snuggle bugs. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels do sleep away a good bit of the day - a fact one shouldn’t be either surprised or concerned about.   Akc GCh Ch Bentwood Imagistic giving mama a kiss.  Bentwood Diamond Cut, all tuckered out! This past weekend winning back to back major wins, New AKC CH Forestcreek Mardi Gras earned her new title! We are thrilled! Special thanks to breeders/co-owners Kevin Cline and Ginger Harrison. Also very grateful to Dennis and Katy Brown for their exceptional presentation of Mardi. Thank you also to the judges who awarded Mardi!
Home sweet home here in Sunset Beach, NC. Sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy love....10/1/2015  New young hopeful here at Livelyoak cavaliers.  Bentwood Distinction of Livelyoak, JW wins Best Puppy under Breed Specialist Judge Ted Eubanks. Picture and award given at the Moore County Kennel Club Dog Show during the Pinehurst Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Specialty weekend in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The 9th annual Central Carolina CKCSC Specialty Dog Show was held September 11, 2015. It was a huge success thanks to everyone who came out to support it, the show chairs, president and board, and excellent judges who traveled near and far to judge. I was delighted to meet Judge Pauline Sidgwick and even got to spend some time with her and her husband Ian. Saturday Lincoln was awarded a RWD and I am especially pleased that on Sunday Lincoln was awarded best puppy under highly respected Judge Eubanks!
 Great time at the Chesapeake Bay CKCS Club Fun Match! Today was my six year old son Josiah's first time showing...He got a lot of practice thanks to friends and willing pups :) It was a lot of fun and thanks to the club for hosting the event. Bentwood Distinction "Lincoln" was also Best Puppy in Fun Match. That was nice too! :)  Some people wonder if cavaliers are a good fit with children? It is always important to monitor children and cavaliers, but I think they make excellent pets for children. Cavalier king Charles Spaniels are sweet tempered, playful, and very yet gentle.  |
